' 72 3.0Si showing the 16" Alpinas; with the H&R
springs, "Max" appears to sit much lower than stock with the wheels
really tucked up in the wells.
'
72 2500 with 14" BBS wheels; I later received an email stating
that "these BBS rims have become too popular here in Germany, so i am
trying to find the original steel rims and caps." A good idea in theory
perhaps...

Germany's Andy Wunsch's
E3 collection
I live near Stuttgart,Germany
and I am a member of the BMW-E3-Limousinen-Club e. V. I studied Informatics
in Stuttgart and earn my money now in administrating SAP R/3-Systems and
Oracle-databases. Now some closer informations about my E3's:
1972 3.0 Si #3205494
color riviera, Bilstein sport shocks, H&R-springs, 16 inch Alpinas 225
Falken-tyres, sunroof, blue interior. I call him Max.
1972 2500 #2045165
color sahara, Bilstein shocks, new original springs, 14" BBS 205 Firestone-tyres,
brown leather, electric windows and sun-roof (i installed these features on
my own). I payed 300,00 DM (in words three- hundred marks) for this car.
Believe me. No kidding !! ZERO rust. Everything original. When I bought him,
I was looking only for some parts for Max. Back home in my garage, I washed
him and couldn't believe it. I checked the whole car finding no rust...really
nothing. OK, no parts for Max.
1973 3.3 L
He has every feature E3's can have. I am restoring him at this time. The
body is ready for painting. Color will be tundra. I know no E3 in Germany
with this color. I call him Mr. Belvedere.
Freude am Fahren!
Andy
NOTE: Andy has sent
some other excellent pictures that will be entered in the site soon; one
amazing picture of a huge group of E3s on an European ferry and some interesting
magazine cover shots of E3s from Germany. Stay tuned!
